Arbitration Panels, Organizations, and Training

Grant L. Kim is a member of the Panel of Arbitrators of numerous arbitral institutions, including:

  • International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR)

  • American Arbitration Association (AAA)

  • CPR Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR)

  • Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC)

  • Korean Commercial Arbitration Board International (KCAB International or KCAB)

  • Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC)

  • Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC)

  • World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) 

Mr. Kim has been appointed as presiding, sole, wing, or emergency arbitrator in numerous cases under the rules of the ICDR, AAA, CPR, SIAC, and KCAB International.  He has also served as an arbitrator in cases under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), which does not have a formal arbitrator panel, as well as UNCITRAL.  In addition, he has appeared as counsel in arbitrations administered by the ICC, ICDR, AAA, KCAB, JAMS, and HKIAC.    

Mr. Kim is a member of the California Bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and numerous federal courts.  He has been recognized as a Northern California Super Lawyer for international work.  

Mr. Kim has been selected as a Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.  The Silicon Valley Arbitration and Mediation Center (SVAMC) has selected Mr. Kim for its Tech List® of the World’s Leading Technology Neutrals

Mr. Kim serves on the Advisory Board of KCAB International. He is a member of the SVAMC Board of Directors; a former Director of the North American Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (NAB); and former Chair of the Northern California Chapter of the NAB. He also served as Overseas President of the International Association of Korean Lawyers (IAKL) and President of the Korean American Bar Association of Northern California (KABANC).  

Mr. Kim regularly speaks at and participates in arbitration conferences that provide insights into best practices.  He also participates in arbitrator training programs, including:
